Swimming Kolokitha
Who once sailed to Spinalonga with Nostos Tours, surely knows that the boat stops in Kolokitha to give the tourists the unbounded pleasure of swimming for a while.
For many people this is a wonderful experience for looking through the crystal clear water at about 20m. deep they can admire the bottom of the sea.
Spinalonga
Spinalonga, once a fortress against invaders as the Turks among others, became later (from 1903 to 1957) a leper colony. Those interested can visit the island with guides explaining everything in several foreign languages from Agios Nikolaos with Dimitri.
Dimitri can be approached in the harbour of Agios Nikolaos near the boats of NostosTours.
Christos
During a tour through the mountains in the north of Mirtos we arrived in a small village named Christos. There was Sophocles, a friendly man, who proudly showed as round his village and introduced us to his neighbours.
